A Call to Action

Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer death in the European Union, accounting for around 20% of all cancer deaths across the region. Despite this, major inequalities remain in prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment and access to care.
This Call to Action sets out what Lung Cancer Europe is asking European institutions, Member States and civil society to do to improve lung cancer care across Europe.
It calls for stronger action on prevention and screening, faster access to diagnostic testing and treatment, better data on treatment and inequalities, and renewed political commitment to lung cancer within Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
