Lung Cancer Europe launches Knowledge Hub for member organisations

Lung Cancer Europe has launched its new Knowledge Hub, a dedicated online library designed to help member organisations access reliable information, develop their knowledge and skills, and strengthen their work across Europe.

Launched on 1 November 2026, the Knowledge Hub brings together lung cancer research, policy information, educational materials and practical resources in one place.

Available exclusively to Lung Cancer Europe member organisations, the Hub is a growing resource. New content will be added regularly as it becomes available, with further learning opportunities planned for 2027.

Lung cancer resources in one place

Across Europe, lung cancer organisations play an important role in raising awareness, supporting people affected by lung cancer and advocating for improvements in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care.

But finding reliable, accessible information isn’t always straightforward. Resources are often spread across different websites, reports and organisations, and smaller organisations may have limited time or capacity to find and adapt them.

The Lung Cancer Europe Knowledge Hub brings this information together in one dedicated space, making it easier for organisations to find what they need, develop their knowledge and apply it to their own work.

Research, policy and education resources for lung cancer organisations

The first phase introduces a resource library organised around three key areas.

Lung cancer research and innovation

Information about developments in lung cancer research, treatments, diagnostics and emerging technologies. These resources help member organisations keep up with scientific developments and understand research that may affect people living with lung cancer.

Lung cancer policy and advocacy

Resources covering European policy developments, advocacy priorities and issues affecting access to lung cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care. This section helps organisations strengthen their advocacy work and engage more effectively in policy discussions at national and European levels.

Education and capacity building

Practical materials to support learning, communication and organisational development. These resources help member organisations build their knowledge and skills, strengthen their activities and share information more effectively with the communities they represent.

A growing library of lung cancer resources

The Knowledge Hub is being introduced in stages.

The first phase focuses on establishing the platform and providing access to an initial collection of resources across the three areas. New resources will be added regularly as they become available, and members will receive updates from the Hub when new content is published.

We also want the Hub to reflect the knowledge and experience across our network. Member organisations are encouraged to share relevant resources of their own to help build the library by emailing info@lungcancereurope.eu.

Lung Cancer Europe will gather feedback from member organisations to understand which resources are most useful, identify gaps and guide further development.

From 2027, plans include additional resources, online learning modules and more multilingual content, making the Hub increasingly useful to organisations working in different countries and languages.

Supporting lung cancer patient organisations across Europe

Lung Cancer Europe’s network brings together organisations with different areas of expertise, resources and experience, working in a wide range of healthcare systems. Some have established teams and programmes, while others are smaller organisations working with limited resources.

The Knowledge Hub supports this diverse membership by making knowledge and practical materials easier to access. It is part of Lung Cancer Europe’s wider commitment to strengthening the role of member organisations and supporting effective lung cancer advocacy across Europe.

How to access the Lung Cancer Europe Knowledge Hub

The Knowledge Hub is available exclusively to Lung Cancer Europe member organisations.

Members will receive a personal email invitation with instructions for accessing the platform. Each person will be able to create their own password and access the resources.

If you work for a member organisation and have not received your invitation, you can request access on the Hub’s sign-in page. Lung Cancer Europe will confirm your request with your organisation.

The Hub is designed to support members working in different languages, with further multilingual content planned as it develops.
